Socrates - On Happiness

Almost any introductory course on Western philosophy starts with Socrates. Little is known about the great man, it is uncertain whether or not he wrote anything down, but it is not disputed that he was executed for 'corrupting the youth'. His most famous pupil is Plato, who did write things down, lots of things. Plato's writings are extensive, and so many of the difficult philosophical problems still being debated begin with him.
